SEOC Affiliate - Paterson Education Organizing Collaborative

Paterson Education Organizing Collaborative is an affiliate of the Statewide Education Organizing Committee (SEOC), which is comprised of public school parents and community leaders from urban and low-income school districts who have come together to work and fight for improvements in the education system.

CPER Funded Project

Paterson Education Organizing Collaborative's CPER funded work includes:

  • Developing and engaging a core leadership and membership team from at least two neighborhoods in at least one district-wide issue;
  • Participating in joint organizing/advocacy planning and strategizing with other organizing and advaocy groups, churches and unions; and
  • Building a base of parents who participate in state-level campaigns on school funding, new school construction, the provision of supplemental programs and teacher quality.
