Paterson Education Organizing Collaborative is an affiliate of the Statewide Education Organizing Committee (SEOC), which is comprised of public school parents and community leaders from urban and low-income school districts who have come together to work and fight for improvements in the education system.
CPER Funded Project
Paterson Education Organizing Collaborative's CPER funded work includes:
- Developing and engaging a core leadership and membership team from at least two neighborhoods in at least one district-wide issue;
- Participating in joint organizing/advocacy planning and strategizing with other organizing and advaocy groups, churches and unions; and
- Building a base of parents who participate in state-level campaigns on school funding, new school construction, the provision of supplemental programs and teacher quality.
