The New Jersey Immigration Policy Network (NJIPN) is a broad-based coalition of New Jersey organizations dedicated to protecting immigrant rights and promoting inclusiveness and full participation of immigrants in the life of the country. NJIPN is committed to incorporating the experience of grassroots communities in its policy and advocacy work. As a distinct institution, NJIPN works to enhance the effectiveness of pro-immigrant organizations and movements, and to facilitate communication, common purpose and collaboration among them.

CPER Funded Project

NJIPN's SOF work includes:

  • Developing a coalition of organizations supporting the re-enactment of New Jersey's Bilingual Education Code and creating state mandated Bilingual Parent Advisory committees; and
  • Improving immigrant parent leadership and participation in New Jersey's public schools by enforcing the state's obligation to create Bilingual Parent Advisory Committees in bilingual districts.
